AI.

 

The real difference is here. except a few tailored for solitaire play, boardgames are designed to be played by several players.

Computer games may be played bye-mail, hotseat or lan, but in the end 90% of the games will be played solitaire against AI

Si any computer game design must take into account the necessity to build the game on the AI, and not consider AI just as a supplementary and often weak feature.
