A question

I’m inclined to suppress the options relative to the buildings of new plants and armored factories.

Do you agree?

I’d think they are out of the scope of the game, so yes.

  2. Dick says:

Do you mean to completely remove them, or to reduce the amount of new factories you can build?

I’m no expert in the economic history of the Russian Civil War, but production levels in general suffered heavily throughout the country and the process of rapid industrialization only began years after the war was over and the Soviet rule was firmly established everywhere, so I’d say it makes sense to restrict such options.

Besides, RUS is a game about military operations and not war economy. So I won’t mind if you get rid of them.

Anyone Will indeed agreed building new plants is the exact contrary of the reality. Painting them into a sort of ” Restaure the production facilities” would just be pitiful too. Even that was beyond possibilities. To give an example, of the 25 iron mill in the Donbass, 23 were closed in 1919…

Until now, I let these options for gameply, but now FY has got the new economical features, suppressing them and replacing with options about other economical choices could do the trick and be closer to reality. And I would get some room for future features, needing events…

    Sounds good

During the Civil War, we can talk about some restoration of production (eg factories in Moscow, Nizhny Novgorod, Petrograd), or the absence of efforts to restore production (Provisional Government of Siberia, the Ukrainian People’s Republic).
The production itself was limited to the military sphere – the construction and repair of armored trains and armored vehicles, ammunition, etc. Issue

You hit the nail. Indeed, if I rénové these options, I Will replace them by others, much more tailored for thé historical reality.New plants are for WW2, with an engine able to display rightly, Fronts, railroad conversion, AI able to form Fronts, Reserves, paratroops, oïl supply, and Many more fractures…For a boardgame maybe.
